Earthlings

Today, I watched Earthlings with my Environmental Club. The reason our group chose to watch such a controversial and shocking video was based on an ongoing discussion we keep having about where our food comes from. As a group of young people, I find it fascinating to see them question the status quo and ask really big questions.
Watching the movie really made me think about the sacrifice that went into my Subway sandwich or my plate of BBQ. How was this meat raised and killed? Was there humane treatment of an animal or was it just feed, cage, slaughter and kill?
